DESCRIPTION:Students in 9th and 10th Grades and their parents and guardians are invited to an information session on Tuesday\, November 17\, 2026\, from 5:30 – 7:00 PM on the college search\, finance\, and application process\, and the experience and benefits of being an IB student at an IB school. The session will take place in the Conference Room in Baker Hall. \nAshley McWilliams\, WSA College Counselor\, will be sharing guidance and advice on what steps should be taken for the college search\, the process for applications\, how and when to visit schools\, what questions to ask schools\, how to navigate the financial aid process and also how to make the decision of where to apply and where to enroll. Students are encouraged to attend because they are the ones who will be leading this process! \nCatherine Freeman\, Head of School\, will go over the benefits of the IB program as well as outline what that program looks like at West Sound Academy. She will be available to help answer questions about the value and experience. \nAs an International Baccalaureate (IB) World School\, West Sound Academy is part of a global community dedicated to providing a transformative education that empowers learners with the essential knowledge\, values\, attitudes\, and skills to become influential agents of peace within their communities. \nReceiving an IB education is a powerful opportunity for students to become active\, compassionate\, and lifelong learners.
