International Students

A Big World in A Small School

As an International Baccalaureate World School, West Sound Academy highly values the multiculturalism that international students bring to our school community. WSA arranges host family placements for safe and enriching living experiences for international students. International students may also reside with their natural family if they have a residence near the school.

International students choose to attend West Sound Academy for many reasons. From the day they arrive, they become fully immersed in the school’s culture and contribute regularly to the vitality of campus life as school leaders, artists and performers.

An intermediate level of English is required to be accepted to West Sound Academy. Whether a student’s English speaking skills are sufficient for admission is determined by a video conference interview. Students are encouraged to take the TOEFL test prior to applying in order to establish a baseline score but it is not required for admission. The school reporting code for WSA is 8801.
