In the early 1990s, Seattle was the center of the pop music world. Bands like Nirvana, Soundgarden, and Pearl Jam dominated MTV and radio, and the thrift-shop, slacker style of grunge fashion spread far beyond the Pacific Northwest. Join us as we create a podcast series about the music that defined a generation and the people who created it. You will analyze music, read articles, and do research on one aspect of the grunge scene while learning how to conduct interviews, write a script, record audio, and edit a compelling episode for our podcast series.
Warning: Due to the nature of the topic, this class will touch on mature themes including language, drug use, and suicide.
