MORNING JUNE TERM – In this June Term class, students experienced the process of planning, designing, building, and testing an original escape room. Students learned how to write in secret codes; design immersive settings and compelling lore; plan sequences of engaging, hands-on clues; give helpful hints; set up locks, puzzles, and red herrings; and play through escape rooms like pros! The class began by exploring existing escape rooms, puzzle boxes, scavenger hunts, and other clue-based games. Then, students worked in teams to design and build all-new escape rooms on the WSA campus, which they tested on one another before sharing them with the school.
