Caps, gowns, and big plans: WSA celebrates Declaration Day 2026.
On May 27, West Sound Academy’s students and faculty welcomed the graduating Class of 2026 back to campus for Declaration Day, one of our school’s most cherished traditions.
This annual event gives our community the opportunity to celebrate the accomplishments of the senior class and recognize the exciting paths that lie ahead.
The graduating seniors donned their caps and gowns and walked to the amphitheater, where Catherine Freeman, Head of School, and WSA students and staff were waiting.
Dean of Students Cari Crane led everyone in cheers and applause for the members of West Sound Academy’s 25th graduating class.
Each soon-to-be alum declared their fall plans to the community, then signed the pennant for their chosen college or university.
It was a beautiful day - sunny and breezy - and the pennants were flying even when they were supposed to stay flat on the table for signing.
This event was the last all-school assembly for this class, and now they are off to college and other adventures. These ten graduating seniors have been accepted at 23 four-year colleges and universities in the US and abroad, and have been offered a collective $861,307 in scholarships and grants. Congratulations to the Class of 2026!
The class of 2026 was also admitted to the 17 colleges and universities listed below.
