Extended Essay Workshop for Juniors

There are three on-campus workshops planned for Project Days to help WSA Juniors with their IB Extended Essays or Senior Essays (for those students not submitting Extended Essays to IB) and the college application process.

The workshops are required for all juniors, regardless of their IB submission plans, on these Project Days:

• Friday, January 16, 2026 – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Friday, February 6, 2026 – 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM
• Friday, March 20, 2026 – 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM

All workshops will take place in the Conference Room in Baker Hall. Juniors are required to bring their laptops to these workshops. Students who prefer to take notes on research and/or their reading on paper should also bring a journal or composition book. Juniors will conduct research on all three days and will want to record their thoughts and ideas in either digital format or on paper.

The January and February workshops will cover the Extended Essay. WSA College Counselor Ashley McWilliams will attend the March workshop, and the day will be divided between the Extended Essay and the college application process.
