Future bound: Class of 2025 reveals college choices.
May 28 was the first very warm, very sunny day of spring – perfect weather for West Sound Academy’s traditional tribute to our graduating seniors, Declaration Day.
The WSA community was seated in the amphitheater, then members of West Sound Academy’s 24th graduating class, wearing their commencement regalia, came walking across the field to take their place at the front.

One by one, the seniors came forward to declare which college or university they would be attending in the fall.
A little bit of a breeze kept those pennants flying even when they were supposed to stay flat on the table for signing.
When each member of the class had announced their college choice and their plans for what they would study, they were given their final pop quiz of their West Sound Academy career: “What tips would you give to our students?”
The seniors gave some sage advice. “Don’t procrastinate.” “Seek out your teachers. They are a great resource.” “Do your homework, kids.” “Be sure to get enough rest.” Sophie Bracamonte had the last word: “It will all work out in the end.”
Among the eight graduates, the Class of 2025 has earned acceptances to 33 four-year institutions and secured a collective $1,466,332 in scholarships and grants. Their accomplishments speak volumes. Here's to their next adventure—congratulations, graduates!
