June Tunes

FULL DAY JUNE TERM – This was an all-day music ensemble course with the goal of giving a live performance on June 9 at the Austin-Kvelstad Pavilion in Poulsbo’s Liberty Bay Waterfront Park. Students taking this class needed to have intermediate to advanced experience on at least one instrument. Led by Paul, the class worked together as a group to deconstruct and reconstruct music along their own line of inquiry. Students were actively involved in choosing their song selections and organizing rehearsal time. This class also focused on teaching students about the technical side of live sound and stage design. Space in the class was limited, so enrollment was prioritized by grade level, instrument experience, and the student’s teamwork contributions in prior music elective classes.
