IB Students Read Spanish Children’s Books, Then Create Their Own

River and Noah look through Spanish children's books

This week IB Spanish students enjoyed reading some children’s books.  They analyzed what verb tenses were used and found three new vocabulary words per book.  They were transported back in time with some classics that they were familiar with in their own language.  Afterwards, they were inspired to create their own children’s books in Spanish.  They wrote and illustrated them and finally presented them to the class.  There were tales of fruits, animals, travels, cautionary tales, and stories of inclusion and diversity.  What a creative group of students!
