Forrest Kenworthy

Forrest earned his bachelor’s degree in English from Earlham College and then completed two years of service with an AmeriCorps teaching program. After an 18-year hiatus from teaching during which Forrest was a chef in the Vancouver/Portland area, Forrest returned to school at Washington State University, Vancouver, to earn his master’s degree in teaching in 2017.

Before coming to West Sound Academy, Forrest taught in the Taholah School District on the Quinault Reservation. He is deeply committed to developing meaningful, authentic relationships with his students based on respect and compassion and is devoted to designing creative, project-based curriculum. Forrest has taught a wide variety of subjects, including electives like storytelling, yearbook, and photography.
